Eastfield Lodge

B&B, Guest House or Inn

Description

Eastfield Lodge is a charming Victorian House with 8 beautiful bedrooms all ensuite. The communal dining room and lounge with it's wood burning fire overlooks Wensleydale and the hills beyond. This, once family home, is ideal for gatherings of all generations, walking and cycling groups or just friends getting together for reunions, birthdays or anniversaries. For our walkers and cyclists, the Lodge has secure storage for up to 16 bicycles, a drying room, outside sink and WC. The Lodge can be booked for a 'self-catered' or a 'hosted' option where breakfast is provided and also, if requested, an evening meal.

Just 300m from the picturesque market square of Leyburn, Eastfield Lodge is ideally situated for exploring one of England’s prettiest rural landscapes.  From our doorstep venture into the Yorkshire Dales National Park with its numerous walking and cycling opportunities, as well as a host of charming villages and many local places of interest. We are open all year to welcome families, friends and groups who wish to book the whole house for their exclusive use. With its spacious rooms and communal areas, the house is ideal for these larger get-togethers and your own house parties.

Most importantly of all, every guest can expect a genuine and enthusiastic welcome from us, Henry Collett and Penny Knight or indeed one of our colleagues. Our aim is for you to feel you are staying somewhere special, somewhere we would want to stay ourselves so we encourage you to kick off your shoes and make this your “home from home” while you are with us. Nothing is too much trouble – we really do want you to have the best time here that you could have.

Self Catered or Hosted Options?”

If you wish the 'self-catered' option, the online booking system will automatically default to this. With this option we'll generally be here to welcome you, then let you settle yourselves in and relax. You have the local shops and restaurants in the town to help with your independent catering needs throughout your stay. We are happy to order in for you any of the local produce we use in the Lodge through our suppliers so after your booking confirmation, please just give us a call to discuss this.  You can then be left to your own devices but feel free to ask for advice on walks, places to visit or activities. We live next door but there is also a wealth of information in the lodge.

If you'd prefer the 'hosted' option, please make your booking online as above. Then in order to confirm this option (which cannot be done online,) please contact us using the lodge details on your email booking confirmation. With the hosted choice, we will cook and serve your group with a delicious Yorkshire breakfast each morning, provide tea and coffee facilities in your rooms and in the lounge, a freshly baked cake or home-made cookies each afternoon, an evening meal from our menu choices on request, light the lounge fire in the winter months and give your room a light clean each day.  By having a chat, we can tailor make your stay for you, especially if it's a special occasion.  (The additional cost of £125 per day for hosted will be added to your bill on departure.)

With either option you can expect genuine hospitality. Laughter throughout the house is often a theme. We love to offer themed weekends, such as a Murder Mystery or possibly a Paddle & Picnic trip from Ripon to Boroughbridge or to take you on a guided walk to see the very best of the area. If it is a special occasion, we can bring in a Chef for your own private dining. Please just ask.
