Situated in the picturesque village of Osmotherley on the doorstep of the North York Moors, Cote Ghyll Mill provides the perfect base for walking, cycling and exploring North Yorkshire.
Cote Ghyll Mill can be booked by groups, as family rooms or as individual beds. It also offers affordable accommodation for exclusive hire by schools/colleges and family groups.
Those staying at Cote Ghyll Mill can choose between 2, 4 or 6 bedded en-suite rooms, each with ‘walk in’ shower, washbasin, toilet and hairdryer. All rooms have been recently refurbished. All of our beds are bunk beds with some of the family sized, 6 bedded rooms also having double beds. All beds are made up ready for your arrival, just bring your own towels (also available to hire). Travel cots can be provided on request (cot linen not supplied).
Our welcoming restaurant serves a hearty buffet style breakfast as well as traditional, home-cooked evening meals. We also offer a children’s menu and pre-ordered packed lunches for those who are spending the day out and about. Alternatively you can self cater in our large self catering kitchen.
After a hectic day, relax and enjoy a drink from the bar (open 5.30pm to 9pm) in our comfortable lounge or relax in our TV room which includes a selection of toys & games and large, flat screen TV. In addition our games area offers pool and assorted games. There is free WiFi throughout the building. In addition we have a drying room, clothes washing facilities, secure bike store, separate meeting room and large carpark.
Educational groups can have access to the new campfire and shelter building area, both within our private grounds and next to the Old Mill Waterfall.
From the doorstep of the Mill is a network of footpaths linking to the Cleveland Way, Coast to Coast and to the start of the Lyke Wake Walk and Route 65 of the National Cycle network. The footpaths and cycle routes from Cote Ghyll are vast and for all abilities and show off the beautiful local scenery.
The local beauty spot of Cod Beck reservoir is only 10 min walk. 10 mins walk in the opposite direction gets you to the popular and pretty village of Osmotherley with its 3 pubs/restaurants, shops and café.
The Mill is easily accessed being only 2 miles from the A19 dual carriageway (Thirsk to Teesside).
