The Byre and Granary are located at Swainstye Farm, a traditional working hill farm near the popular tourist village of Osmotherley in the North York Moors National Park.
Enjoying a peaceful, elevated south facing position the stone barn conversion cottages provide the opportunity for guests to wake up to spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
With exposed beams, stone and wood floors and a wood-burning stove, The Byre (sleeps 4) has a traditional cosy cottage feel with a hint of old country charm.
Accessed by the traditional stone steps, The Granary (sleeps 2) successfully combines a contemporary feel with a touch of tradition with open plan living, stone and wooden floors and a bedroom with a vaulted sloping ceiling.
Guests can enjoy a relaxing break away from the stresses of everyday life at Swainstye Farm, located approx 1 mile from the picturesque village of Osmotherley, which nestles against the heather clad moors, wooded hillsides and grassy meadows of the North York Moors National Park. The extensive network of footpaths and bridleways provide a wealth of opportunity to explore this beautiful countryside, which is stunning at any time of year.
The village offers an excellent range of facilities with three pubs all serving food, a traditional fish and chip shop, a café, a village shop selling groceries and a walking shop. With good transport links Osmotherley makes an ideal base for discovering the many and varied attractions of North Yorkshire and the North of England.
The Byre and The Granary are available for rent on a weekly basis (normally from Saturday to Saturday). Rentals for shorter or longer breaks are available by negotiation and subject to availability.
