Set in the midst of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Catgill Farm is a family run farm that offers camping and luxury glamping experiences. With some incredible views and plenty of things to do nearby, Catgill often becomes a favourite with their visitors. Since opening in 2014, they have been included in The Telegraph newspapers list of “Britain’s Top 5 Coolest Campsites”. They have a spacious camping field with EHU and stellar facilities, as well as their six luxury timber pods and two magical bell tents. Their glamping experiences include private log fuelled hot tubs, fire pits, and pizza ovens. There is also an on-site coffee shop where you can grab a coffee and croissant!

When camping at Catgill you can choose between EHU and non-EHU pitches, and don’t worry you don’t have to leave the family pet at home because dogs are welcome on our campsite. All camping pitches are just a short distance away from the five star facilities including a spacious toilet and shower block with plenty of hot water to go around, and the kitchen washing up area where you will find charging points as well as three shared fridge freezers. If you don’t book an EHU pitch, you can choose your own spot to pitch your tent when you arrive. For a cosy and authentic camping experience, why not hire a fire pit from reception to light up the dark nights? You will always be welcomed to Catgill with open arms from the friendly staff who will always be happy to help.

Glamping at Catgill Farm truly is a magical experience. Both the timber pods and bell tents are peppered with luxurious details, each as unique as the Woodland creatures they are named after – Hare, Fox, Duck, Pheasant, Stag, Owl, Dragonfly and Hedgehog. Designed to maximise the views, the privacy of our guests and the outside space, each glamping pod or bell tent gives the illusion that you’re almost secluded in your own corner of the Yorkshire Dales. Guests who are glamping at Catgill will have plenty to do whilst they let their troubles melt away, whether it be relaxing in their private hot tub or toasting marshmallows around the fire pit.

Timber Pods
The timber pods at Catgill were designed by owner and architect, Oliver. They are much bigger than most glamping pods and are completely bespoke. The pods are fully insulated, have central heating, and are of an extremely high standard. The facilities and equipment within are just as wonderful, if not better than those you’ll find in holiday cottages. One pod can sleep up to six people with space to spare. They include an en-suite, kitchen, WiFi, TV with Netflix, sofa, dining table and cosy bunk beds that kids love. As night draws in, dim the lighting to create a soothing atmosphere where you can unwind with your loved ones.

Bell Tents
Catgill has two giant luxury bell tents for guests who want a little more of the authentic camping experience mixed in with their luxury holiday. The bell tents are fitted out to the highest standard and share their own private toilet and shower. With cooking equipment, fairy lights, and hot water bottles these bell tents have everything you need. The bell tents have a log burner, heater, a large driftwood bed and futons for the kids. They can sleep up to 4 people! They even have a sink with running water, electric and WiFi. This is glamping at its finest, all the excitement of camping with all your creature comforts thrown in, creating a happy and relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

Right in the heart of Yorkshire, it doesn’t get much better than this! Forget the car as soon as you arrive, there is so much to do right on the doorstep. Bolton Abbey is just a 15 minute walk away and has tea rooms, a visitor shop and of course the famous 12th century ruins of the Priory set next to the River Wharfe with stepping stones and a sandy beach. Hesketh Farm Park is literally on the doorstep offering tractor tours, animal feeding and much more. The “Dev” pub is only 10 minutes walk and serves good food and local ales. Billy Bob’s American Diner is popular for breakfast, waffles, amazing homemade ice-cream and features a kid’s play barn. Bolton Abbey Steam Railway is just over the hill with the route meandering through the Yorkshire hills to Embsay where the Cavendish Arms is well worth a stop off.

Close to the Dalesway hiking route and on the famous Tour de Yorkshire circuit, Catgill has much to offer for walkers and cyclists along with many local attractions for families. There are a number of beautiful towns and villages within easy reach such as Skipton, Ilkley and Grassington, all with a variety of friendly pubs, award winning restaurants, coffee shops and many local seasonal events. Catgill is a perfect location for either an action packed family holiday or a chilled and peaceful break.
