This lovely 18th century, stone-built Georgian cottage has recently been refurbished but still retains many of its original Georgian features. The cottage offers warm, comfortable accommodation for up to four people. Storage heating throughout provides constant background heating, while a multi-fuel stove in the lounge gives extra warmth on cool evenings. All fuel is included in the rental price as are all bed linen and towels.
There is a garden to the front and the rear garden, which overlooks the beautiful Community Orchard, offers a place to sit and dine outside.
The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles and both have a wardrobe, chairs and chest of drawers.
The cottage has a bathroom with bath,sink and loo upstairs and a downstairs shower room also with hand basin and loo and a shaver point. There is an emersion heater for constant hot water.
The cottage is a non smoking zone and we do not accept pets.
Wi-fi , Freesat TV, dvd player and radio are provided as well as a selection of maps, books, dvds and games.
The kitchen has a cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, tumble dryer and washing machine and a breakfast area with table and chairs. There is also a dining area in the Georgian bay window in the lounge.
There is secure bike storage and a place to hang wet clothes and leave muddy boots in the old cobbled passageway that leads to the back door.
Reeth is ideal as a place to base your holiday. It is in fact a market town and has many useful amenities including a Post Office, medical centre, museum, three public houses, two grocery shops , a hairdressers and a garage serving petrol as well as many cafes ,craft shops and galleries.
Reeth is positioned about half way along the Coast to Coast walk and there are many short circular walks and longer treks that start in the village or you may prefer to hire a bike at the nearby Dales Bike Centre and test your stamina on the route of the Grand Depart 2014 which passed through Reeth.
