Situated within the Nidderdale AONB Holme Grange Farm is a small working farm with pedigree Suffolk sheep, Hereford cattle, mules, ducks, geese, chickens, kune kune pigs and donkeys.
You are welcome to wander around the farm at leisure making friends with the animals and if you are feeling energetic perhaps help with the morning/evening feeds or at lambing time help bottle feed the lambs. Our lambing period is from December to April. Help always welcome.
Our unique guest accommodation is a newly converted ground floor wheelhouse featuring exposed roof beams and its own independent access. The large circular bedroom has a king sized bed with feather and down duvet, 2 easy chairs, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. The en-suite bathroom has a large double shower. We are situated in the heart of the village of Galphay, opposite the village green, the other side of which is the village pub serving evening meals at reasonable prices. Ample secure parking at the farm. For breakfast we serve our own free range eggs and our apple juice. We endeavour to use local suppliers wherever possible for other produce.
From the village there are several popular walks through the countryside. The city of Ripon is 4.5 miles away. Other local attractions are Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal and the Black Sheep and Theakstons breweries at Masham to name a few. Also within easy access of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Further afield are Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Leeds, Herriott Country and the coast.
