Stonelands is just 14 miles north of the busy market town of Skipton with its open air market four times a week and stunning medieval castle. Malham Tarn and Bolton Abbey are both less than a half hour drive away and well worth a visit. Discover too, the hamlets of Herriot Country and the Bronte town of Haworth. Shop in elegant Harrogate and for family fun, head to the Lightwater theme park, some of the spectacular show caves nearby or The Forbidden Corner near Leyburn.
There is a local inn which serves good food within walking distance (1/2 mile) enabling you to spend an evening or two being spoiled and enjoying a well-deserved meal cooked for you after spending the day visiting some of the attractions of this scenic area. Many other inns, cafes and restaurants are available within a 10-20 minutes drive.
