Welcome to Rowantree, a third generation livestock farm, nestled below Ainthorpe Rigg in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, just 15 miles from Whitby on the outskirts of the village of Danby.
Our establishment offers one family and one twin room, both of which have private facilities.
Our residents lounge has a TV and information on places of interest to visit.
Children of all ages are welcome and a highchair is available. Both bedrooms offer wash basins, beverage trays, hairdryers and CD/Radio alarms.
We are within walking distance of an historic coaching inn, serving freshly prepared meals 7 days a week.
Ideal for walkers or cyclists who want to explore the moors from our front door. Secure cycle storage is available. Take the train via the Esk Valley line to Whitby, stopping off at Grosmont for the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway where you can visit Goathland, home of ITV's Heartbeat.
Visit Helmsley and Pickering with their ancient castles and bustling markets and beautiful gardens. Rievaulx Abbey and Hutton-Le-Hole with Ryedale Folk Museum are also within easy access. Visit the Yorkshire coastline of Staithes, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Robin Hood’s Bay.
The family or double (flexible sleeps 2-4) bedroom is at the front of the house with panoramic moorland views. An extra bed can also be provided to accommodate a second child. It has private facilities, with wash basin and beverage tray in the room.
