Stay in Staithes is a direct marketing service for a select number of holiday cottages in Staithes.They are based in this historic village set on the beautiful North York Moors coast just 20 minutes drive from Whitby. They offer a range of Staithes holiday cottages from cosy, get away from it all retreats for small parties through to larger houses suitable for families and groups of up to eight people.

Lahneys Cottage:

Sleeps two in double bedroom. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Lahneys Cottage is a perfect example of a traditional cottage which has been well maintained by the owners in the original Staithes style with exposed beams, stripped pine doors and original wall panelling. Renovations have been sympathetic and much of the original character and atmosphere have been retained. The cottage has storage heating with the added benefit of additional radiators powered by the log burning stove. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Lahneys Cottage enjoys the perfect location in the heart of the old village with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk away from the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading, though access is on foot via some steps and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Cinder Path Cottage:

Sleeps three in double and single bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. The perfect hideaway by the sea, Cinder Path is an unusual two storey cottage set above the village with lovely top floor lounge and views across the roof tops to Cowbar Cliff, Staithes harbour and the sea beyond. It is located on one of the many cliff top paths that surround the village, but is also conveniently just off the main High Street. The cottage has storage/electric heating throughout and is a cosy retreat whatever the time of year. Please note that the internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

High Winds Cottage:

Sleeps four in double and twin bedrooms. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. High Winds is a traditional Staithes cottage with many original features set just off the High Street in Chapel Yard. Lovely views towards Cowbar Cliff from the first and second floor bedrooms. The ground floor is set for open plan living with well equipped kitchen/dining/living area. Thermostatically controlled electric heaters in all rooms and a log burner on the ground floor. Free Wi-Fi access. There is a self contained patio to the front of the cottage with seating area and an additional self contained yard to the rear with access from the kitchen. Quiet location with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. Please note that the staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Bellebeck Cottage:

Sleeps four in double and twin bedrooms. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Bellebeck Cottage forms part of the conversion of the old Bethel Chapel and is located in the Beckside area of Staithes. The cottage has retained many of the beautiful features of the original building, but with the added benefit of many modern facilities. There is full central heating throughout, plus an electric fire on the ground floor. To the front of the cottage is a self contained yard area with seating – the perfect spot from which to enjoy a cup of tea or an evening glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. Bellebeck is set in a quiet location just off the High Street and is a short walk to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Short term parking is available outside the cottage for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Stonegarth Cottage:

Sleeps four in double and twin bedrooms, plus a fold out bed for one added person. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Stonegarth is a traditional cottage in the heart of old Staithes which is perfect for couples and families alike, with a cosy lounge area with multi-fuel stove and separate kitchen/dining room. It is a much loved second home and has recently undergone further improvement work which has provided a brand new house bathroom and ground floor cloakroom. The cottage has central heating powered by a multi-fuel stove and the benefit of radiators and storage/underfloor heating. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, plus there is some restricted head height on the second floor. This is the perfect retreat for holidays at all times of the year. Stonegarth is set in a quiet location just off the High Street and is a short walk to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Seahaven:

Sleeps four in double and twin bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Seahaven has been  completely refurbished to the highest standards which have provided modern facilities perfect for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor is set for open living with well equipped kitchen/dining/living area. Stunning Master bedroom with a double height vaulted ceiling, great sea views and en-suite shower room. First floor twin bedroom also with sea views. Full electric central heating and pressurised hot water system. Free Wi-Fi access. There is a bench to the front of the cottage and small yard, not self contained, to the rear. Perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants, and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Harbour View:

Sleeps five in two double and single bedrooms. Friday arrival for full week bookings. Harbour View is a quirky and charming Grade II listed cottage set right on the Staithes harbour. The ground floor is set up for open plan living with well equipped kitchen/dining and lounge areas. There is underfloor heating and open fire on the ground floor, so Harbour View is a cosy seaside retreat throughout the year. To the front of the cottage is a yard area with seating – the perfect spot from which to enjoy a cup of tea or an evening glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. Harbour View can sleep up to five people, though we would recommend a maximum of four adults to allow you to enjoy the facilities in comfort. The cottage is a stone’s throw from the harbour and beach and a short walk from the village pubs and amenities. Parking is available outside for unloading only, with the main car park being a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Rosalyn Cottage:

Sleeps six in double, twin and bunk bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Rosalyn is located in quiet Elliot’s Yard, just off the main High Street of Staithes. The cottage is spacious with accommodation set over four floors, one of which is a games room for the children. Rosalyn was fully restored in 2006 and had further improvements made in late 2013. It benefits from modern facilities and appliances, an open fire in the lounge and full electric central heating throughout. Please note that the internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues and there is some restricted head height on the second floor. Rosalyn enjoys the perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk from the seafront. Short term parking is available in the High Street for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Ruby Cottage:

Sleeps six in king, double and twin bedrooms. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Ruby House is an imposing property set on the old High Street, but with the advantage of a large enclosed patio to the rear with views over Roxby Beck. There are a large number of original features and the cottage has been decorated and furnished to reflect the owner’s love of Staithes and the surrounding area. It is set over three floors and has spacious living accommodation which is perfect for holidays and short breaks throughout the year. Full central heating and pressurised hot water system. Please note that the internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Free Wi-Fi access and courtesy telephone. The patio gets afternoon/evening sunshine in the summer months and has a table and chairs, additional bench seating and BBQ. Ruby House enjoys the perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Penny Nab Cottage:

Sleeps seven in two double, twin and single bedrooms, plus fold out bed for one added person. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Penny Nab is set in the perfect location on Church Street, just off Staithes harbour and is a great property in which to spend time with family and friends. The cottage has been fully restored in a contemporary but sympathetic style and enjoys modern facilities/appliances throughout with a log burner on the ground floor and central heating throughout. The cottage has great views of the harbour from the front of the property and a panoramic view out to sea from the master bedroom on the second floor. Please note that the internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. With only a short walk to the harbour, village pubs and shops this is a great cottage for holidays throughout the year. You can unload your car outside the cottage and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Ocean View Cottage:

Sleeps eight in three double bedrooms, two en-suite, and one en-suite twin. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Ocean View is a quirky and impressive double fronted Grade II listed stone property located in an elevated position on High Barrass. There are sea views from most of the rooms and the kitchen/dining room has been located on the top floor to maximise the awesome panoramic views of the harbour and North Sea beyond. There is a mixture of thermostatically controlled electric heaters and underfloor heating throughout the cottage. Please note that the internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Ocean View is situated on High Barrass just off the main High Street and is only a short walk to the harbour, local pubs and village amenities. Short term parking is available in the High Street for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. Please note that access to the front door of the cottage is via a set of stone steps.
