Far from the Madding Crowd just 1.5 miles to the South of Whitby lies Summerfield Farm.
With a very high specification and spectacular panoramic views across to Whitby our holiday accommodation is designed to give you a holiday experience of character and much relaxation.
Completed in 2003 the cottage is furnished with many luxuries, antique furnishings, co-ordinating fabrics and soft furnishings.
Open all the year round you can cuddle up by the log burning stove in winter and take in the delights of Whitby and the traditional seaside holiday in summer.
Just 400 yards from the cottage is the mobile home also available for holidays - set in its own private grassed area on the road to Whitby Abbey.
The brooding North Yorkshire Moors are only a short distance away. This is the home of the North Yorkshire Moors railway and of course the 'Heartbeat' village of Goathland. There is so much to see and do you'll wonder how you will fit everything in.
It is a leisurely 1.5 mile walk down to Whitby Abbey. This course takes you straight into the Abbey itself. Descend the famous 199 Abbey stairs to the old part of the ancient fishing port - home of Captain Cook. (Check to see whether the Endeavor is in port at the time of your stay!)
Just to the south of Summerfield, Robin Hood's bay tumbles down through winding alleyways to the sea. The coastal walk from Ravenscar beacon passes through here on its way up through Boggle Hole and on to Whitby itself.
