Located in Bilton-in-Ainsty near York, The Chequers Inn offers the very best in food and drink with a dedicated focus on locally-sourced produce and customer service excellence. It is Ainsty Inns’ flagship pub (part of the Ainsty Group) and winner of ‘Best Wine Bar/Pub’ in the UK at The Publican’s Morning Advertiser Great British Pub Awards 2015.
Located on the outskirts of York and a short drive from Harrogate and Leeds, The Chequers Inn has rolling hills on one side and a chocolate box village on the other. It’s nestled in the perfect, scenic location to enjoy a tipple, dine in the restaurant or stay the night in one of its three en-suite country style bedrooms.
The Chequers Inn is committed to local produce, sourcing everything from the local area and working with its suppliers to devise seasonal menus that make the most of the Yorkshire region’s diverse food and drink offering.
As well as providing the best and freshest Yorkshire food, The Chequers also brings on special rotational brews and is constantly searching for new wines and spirits that are different to what is widely available, thus ensuring drinkers can always try something new.
The Chequers offers traditional food alongside dishes with a more contemporary twist and maintains an unwavering commitment to outstanding customer service.
It hosts regular seafood evenings, Italian nights and wine dinners.
With a roaring log burner in the winter and a beer garden, with a heated and covered terrace overlooking landscaped gardens and beautiful Yorkshire countryside in summer, The Chequers Inn truly is a pub for all seasons.
Ainsty Inns also owns and operates The Swan & Talbot in Wetherby and The Beehive in Thorner.
