"Arklemoor Riding Centre is situated 2 miles west of the picturesque village of Reeth. We have easy access to many bridleways that take us onto the moors of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. The ponies are quiet enough to take the most nervous riders and willing enough to take experienced riders on an anjoyable hack. Children between 4 and 10 years can ride in our purpose-built arena, which is also used for riding lessons.
Swaledale and Arkengarthdale are nestled in the most northerly part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The history of these dales is mainly of hill farming and lead mining, and throught the area there is evidence of these activities.
There are miles of old tracks, dry stone walls and heather moorland, a haven for all kinds of wild life. "
