Wired High Ropes in York offers two amazing attractions and both are open to anyone aged 7 and above, making it a popular family activity.
Wired is a suspended obstacle course, approximately 5 metres above ground at its highest point. The course includes 22 awesome challenges of varying difficulty with a thrilling zip wire finish at the end. The obstacles are designed to test nerve and ability, but above all are great fun! Participants are safely harnessed and attached to a continuous belay system meaning that there’s no need to unclip at any time on the course.
Summit is a vertical challenge course which must be pre-booked in advance. The climbing wall has a choice of exhilarating routes up and stands at over 10m high. It includes various challenges such as Jacob’s Ladder (offering an alternative method of climbing) and the Leap of Faith (a trapeze with lowered descent for those reaching the top). Participants can also enjoy the Crate Stack which involves building a tower of crates to climb up whilst harnessed to ropes.
Both attractions start with a full safety briefing when each participant will be safely harnessed. Qualified staff are always on hand to assist if required.
