Renishaw Hall and Gardens

Historic Site/Structure

Renishaw Hall and Gardens have been home to the Sitwell family for 400 years. Its present owner, Alexandra, welcomes you to visit her home.

Renishaw Hall Gardens are Italian in design and were laid out over 100 years ago by Sir George Sitwell. The garden is divided into 'rooms' with yew hedges, flanked with classical statues. These 'rooms' have been filled with an impressive collection of plants. The garden is set in acres of parkland with lakeside and nature walks alongside English herbaceous borders and ornamental ponds. Throughout the year are spectacular displays of flowers and plants.

Situated in the Stable Block is the museum.  Learn more about Renishaw Hall and Gardens and the Sitwell family by visiting the museum.  See the fascinating displays taken from the family archives.

Other highlights for the season include Literary Tours, Easter and Halloween Trails, Plant Fairs, a Food & Craft Fair and much more…

Dates for your diary: On 5th May & 6th August, Renishaw will host its specialist plant sales days, showcasing some of the finest specimens to buy to brighten up your garden.  Join throngs of garden enthusiasts as you pick the perfect flowers and plants for home.

Later in the month on Sunday 19th August, Renishaw Hall will host scores of local and regional producers selling quality food, drink and crafts from the Sheffield and north Derbyshire area and there will be tasty treats to try on the day.
