Our courses are designed for people who love good food and the outdoors. Taste the Wild are a company passionate about food, the environment and passing on knowledge. We aim to teach and inspire people of all ages to go out and find interesting wild foods to enhance their dishes and diet.
We run day and weekend courses at the coast and inland. Throughout the seasons we can show you how to find tasty wild food: tender shoots and blossoms in spring, flowers and herbs in summer, and autumn fruits and mushrooms. Courses held in our private18 acre wood start at £50 for Clay oven building and go up to £190 for a wild food weekend with tipi accommodation.
Our North Yorkshire coastal courses are run from Staithes. Prices start from £70 for a day, 2 day courses with all food, accommodation, fishing, etc. - £260. Please check our website for full information.
Artisan food courses include learning to make goats cheese, venison butchery, and back to basics bread. These day courses cost £95 and go to the heart of traditional food skills.
