East Riddlesden Hall

Historic Site/Structure, Attraction, Garden/Environmental Attraction

This hidden gem was saved from demolition in 1934 and now offers a friendly Yorkshire welcome to all who pass through its 400 year old doors. The house and its history continue to surprise us as we unravel its stories. Come and see for yourself why it was worth saving - you might leave with more questions than answers.

The intimate gardens offer a relaxing space throughout the year. From fresh shoots in early spring, to cottage garden flowers in summer and trees laden with fruit in autumn.

The natural play areas will spark the imagination of the whole family. Activities take place throughout the year. Please see the website for full details.

The shop and tea-room in the historic bothy sells plants, local, and seasonal products, as well as homemade scones. Accessible tables are available on the ground floor and we’re proud that the whole property has been awarded as dementia friendly.

The romantic Airedale Barn is available for weddings and functions. Intimate ceremonies can take place inside the house too.
