Once a fine Tudor Manor, the Turret House and grounds at Sheffield Manor Lodge are now a great place to explore.
Climb the spiral staircase to glimpse the grandeur of a Tudor banquet and make marzipan fruits for the feast. Meet Bess of Hardwick to hear the story of her time as captor of Mary Queen of Scots and have a go at dressing up.
Outside, wander through ruins, hidden gardens and the lavender labyrinth or through the wildflower meadows down to our farm and cafe.
Children will love the giant sandpit, playground and our school holiday craft activities. Just be sure not to get stuck in the stocks at closing time!
