In acknowledgement that shopping may take a little longer than normal due to queues, anyone who has parked for longer than the maximum four hours on the shopping park should visit the Management Suite (next to Prezzo) when they are due to leave with receipts to get their parking validated.

Shoppers will never be short on car parking spaces with 1,340 to choose from, which also includes six car charging points for hybrid cars.

Vangarde Shopping Park aims to be one of the most sustainable retail developments in the UK by targeting BREEAM Excellent rating throughout the development. BREEAM is the world’s leading measure of a building’s environmental performance and sustainability with ‘Outstanding’ being the highest award.

The park benefits from innovative green engineering solutions, such as renewable energy technology, modern glass and steel construction built with sustainable materials and improved public transport access, public footpaths and new cycle routes.

Vangarde Shopping Park also house a colony of great crested newts, the UK’s rarest and highly protected newt. The park does its utmost to preserve green corridors, watercourses, wildlife and landscapes, creating six new ponds alongside rough grassland areas and hibernation sites for the newts and other amphibians.

Vangarde has achieved an impressive reputable following on social media channels Facebook and Twitter over the last year.

Launching social media competitions, store giveaways and more every month there is always something on offer to enter on our social media feeds.

Vangarde boasts a picturesque Community Plaza, which was created to give shoppers a place to meet and relax before or after shopping or dining at one of its outlets.

The Plaza was created to meet its vision for the Shopping Park with trees and plants planted to ensure the Park keeps with its environmentally-friendly and sustainable ethos.

Vangarde’s green walls can be noticed from afar and have become one of the features that makes the Shopping Park one of the most environmentally-focused retail centres in the region.

One of Vangarde Shopping Park’s key visions is to use environmentally-friendly and sustainable practices in everything it uses and creates. All green walls are naturally produced and involve a range of flowers and plants local to the area.

Vangarde Shopping Park has incorporated pieces of art from local artists across the entire Park, which includes work from sculptor Tony Broomhead and designer and illustrator Aprille Broomhead. Tony created two wooden boats with viewing deck, while the vibrant floral murals was designed by Aprille, which are inspired by ancient hedgerow and textile printing methods.

In homage to the great crested newts that inhabited the area, Vangarde worked with local artist Dan Savage to create a number of stainless steel newts, which can be spotted around the entire Shopping Park.
