Here at Howden Shire Hall we host a wide range of events to suit all ages and tastes.
Highlights of our 2017 spring/summer season include a Children’s Festival, a 1940s tea dance, Steptoe and Son touring theatre production, numerous live music acts including Jon Palmer and Kaz Hawkins, various tribute acts (Blondie and Abba to name but two) and an 80s roller disco!
As well as live music, theatre and comedy productions, we provide a venue for regular classes throughout the week including, fitness and dance classes, children’s play groups, music and language lessons, walking groups etc.. We also host numerous craft and gift fairs throughout the calendar, including a weekly Friday market and café.
Already recognised as a great venue for private parties, the Hall has more recently become a popular Wedding Venue. Able to accommodate up to 180 people, our staff can work with you to suggest a variety of room layouts bespoke to your requirements. We provide a clear and unfussy blank canvas from which you can create a personalised look and feel for your special day.
We also run a fully licensed bar which can offer a range of drinks packages for weddings and events, from sparkling wine on arrival to full waitress service for either your own caterer or from one of our recommended partners.
