Huddersfield Art Gallery is now temporarily closed to the public and is expected to re-open in late 2021.
Kirklees Council are carrying out a major investment into the iconic Huddersfield Library and Art Gallery building, focusing on a the renewal of the roof and the top floor of the building currently housing Huddersfield Art Gallery.
The restoration will ensure that the Grade II listed building is preserved and fit for purpose for the future and that our gallery continues to meet national standards, this will in turn allow us to attract more world class exhibitions in the future.
During the closure, some of the gallery’s collection will be on display as a programme of loans to other galleries and pop-up venues in Huddersfield and around Kirklees. Please keep an eye out on social media for news and announcements.
