Tolson Museum

Museum/Heritage/Gallery/Visitor Centre

Description

Tolson Museum presents a vivid and intriguing picture of the local area and its people, from pre-historic times to the present day. Each layer of this history is revealed through a unique collection of artefacts. Appealing to all ages.

The displays tell the story of the museum itself and its collections and then goes on to illustrate the history of the people in the Huddersfield area from prehistoric times to the present day.

As well as displays, the museum offers a full programme of special exhibitions (often drawn from the extensive reserve collections), children's events, workshops, educational services and identification and enquiry services for our visitors.
