Yorkshire Artist Lucy Pittaway is the UK’s ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year 2016’ as voted by the Fine Art Trade Guild, and was the Official Artist of the 2016 Tour de Yorkshire with her picture aptly titled ‘Hills, Dales and Woolly Tails’.
The Fine Art Trade Guild Award caps a phenomenal year for Lucy as an Artist and local entrepreneur of the North East region. Following a number of successful exhibitions, Lucy opened her first stand alone Gallery outside Richmond, in November 2015, launching a collection of greetings and Christmas cards, calendars, beautiful notebooks and family planners which are sold in card shops, department stores and garden centres across the country and overseas, all designed to bring bright, fun and different products to the consumer market.
Lucy has seen her artwork shipped around the World with a growing audience of Facebook followers in over 30 countries, all avid followers of a local North East lady simply following her love of art and trying her hand in a professional career as an artist. What started out as a hobby-turned-part-time vocation just over a couple of years ago, has blossomed into a burgeoning career and reputation in the national art world.
Lucy’s art work is available as original works of art, limited edition prints, and open edition art work, with Lucy also open to commissioning individual pieces for collectors and art enthusiasts.
