The journey begins thousands of years ago in the rainforests of Central America and continues through the history of chocolate’s founding families and the fascinating facts behind their finest creations. Visitors can learn how a simple cocoa bean is transformed into the finest chocolate, and take a look at the history of York’s most iconic chocolate brands. Then master the secrets of the chocolatier, as you create hand-made chocolates for yourself, before seeing how the experts do it.

Easter: A Cracking Chocolate Adventure promises to be an unforgettable experience. Unique characters will bring to life an amazing story through games, Easter Egg hunts and – of course - chocolate. Children will join Gr-egg and Yolko as they try to fix Gr-egg’s big mistake; losing all of the Easter Eggs! The experience promises to get everyone into the Easter spirit in York, the UK’s home of chocolate!
This is a stand-alone event especially created and run by the attractions award winning team. Led by costumed characters and starting outside the attraction in King’s Square, before moving to the beautiful surroundings of the Merchant Adventurers Hall; it will take place entirely outside, so clothing suitable to the weather is strongly recommended. Recommended for children aged 4-8.
