Join us in our walled gardens to experience ‘Colour Forms’, an art installation and soundscape inspired by a woman who pioneered the use of vaccines exactly 300 years ago.
'Colour Forms - straws upon the water' was created by Lenny and Whale and is inspired by Lady Mary Wortley Montagu who brought the concept of the smallpox inoculation to England from Turkey in 1721. Previously on display at Wentworth Castle Gardens the bright and bold exhibition can be viewed in our walled gardens before travelling to Elsecar Heritage Centre in June.
As we continue to see restrictions ease and enjoy more freedom on our journey out of lockdown, it’s crucial that we do this in a safe and well-managed way.
That’s why it’s so important for everyone to follow all the guidance in place.
Please help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by keeping at least two metres away from people who are not part of your household, wearing a face covering when asked and frequently washing your hands or using sanitiser.
Together we can stay safe, protect others and get our lives back.
