With over 400 events packed into iconic venues across 10 days, the festival celebrates the written and spoken word in all its wonderful forms. Every year BLF invites world-renowned authors, poets, musicians and artists to visit the spectacular city of Bradford to share their expertise and passions with you, the audience. Bradford really is the place to be from 29th June to 8th July.
Offering a programme of events like no other, Bradford Literature Festival creates exceptional discussions and debates, exploring the intimate relationship between words and other art forms such as film, theatre and music. Bradford has long been a hub for literature, diversity and culture; the richness of its communities, drawn from so many different countries, is a key inspiration behind the festival, igniting events that bring guests from around the world to Bradford and showcasing the unique heritage and landscape of the city to the world.
The hub of the festival can be found in Bradford’s beautiful, award winning City Park, featuring the spectacular Mirror Pool – the largest urban water feature in the UK.
