Guests will enjoy a blind tasting menu in The Brasserie restaurant, with wines expertly paired by Sommelier wife, Victoria. The menu will be revealed to guests on the evening.
Josh Overington opened his restaurant and bistro/wine bar, Le Cochon Aveugle and Cave du Cochon after returning to York after training in Paris. Le Cochon Aveugle is a small stripped back restaurant in the heart of York, serving a frequently changing blind tasting menu from his open-plan kitchen.
Josh’s wife, Victoria, is a trained sommelier and personally selects the wines for the cellars at both Le Cochon Aveugle and Cave du Cochon. The list of over 200 wines primarily focuses on small lesser-known grower-producers of fine wines from around the world.
Le Cochon Aveugle has recently been recognised in the UK Top 100 Restaurants Lists by both the National Restaurant Awards and Hardens Guide, and Josh has been awarded Chef of the Year 2019 by the Yorkshire Life Food and Drink Awards.
