Frank Bruno MBE first became noticed as a young strong lad who was winning all of his fights in the Amateur ranks becoming the Youngest ABA Heavyweight boxer, a record he is proud of. In 1995 he went on to become the World Champion. The public soon got to know Frank was more than just a boxer when he started appearing on National TV programmes. For those who did not follow boxing, the fights against Mike Tyson made Frank a national celebrity.
After retiring Frank hit the headlines suffering from a mental breakdown. Frank is very vocal about the treatment he received and decided to speak out for the thousands who suffer in silence. He is now a mental health campaigner advising large organisations and Government agencies and also went on to set up his own Mental Health Foundation.
Join Frank Bruno in conversation with Luke Ambler (Andy’s Man Club) where they will discuss the highs and lows of Frank’s career and mental health.
