Overview & description
digiPlaySpace is coming to Eureka!
A touring exhibition coming all the way from Canada, digiPlaySpace is a series of interactive, digital-meets-real-life art installations showcasing the work of artists from around the world, bought together by Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Each piece invites children to explore how digital media responds to physical spaces and interactions. digiPlaySpace opens as part of Eureka!’s 25th birthday celebrations on Saturday 8 July, running until the end of the year.
Visitors to digiPlaySpace at Eureka! will get to use their bodies to create stop-motion animation, paint on a virtual canvas, create music using unusual objects as instruments, build and control their own robots and more.
In 2012, TIFF created digiPlaySpace, a family-friendly interactive exhibition in which children engage with creative media technologies and share innovative artistic experiences. digiPlaySpace at Eureka! will bring fourteen pieces from acclaimed international artists to Europe for the first time. With lots for kids to touch, control and play, digiPlaySpace will offer some of the best the world has to offer in new media fun and learning.
