‘Inkers’ – the group of printmakers who began at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield – celebrates its 20th year with this breathtakingly diverse display of print styles and techniques. A truly notable selection of artists, educators and writers in their own right.
Printmaking was ever a collaborative activity in which the sharing of techniques contributed to individual achievements. Appropriately the ‘Inkers’ group has grown from its original Mirfield base of enthusiasts to include some of the North’s most significant printmakers, several of whom have won awards and received national/international project funding.
‘20-20 Visions’ happily spans the gamut of the group’s membership, from work by one of its founders (Julia Clegg) to Ian Wrench’s first exhibited piece as an ‘Inker’. For the full list of members and details of future shows visit www.inkers-printmakers.org.uk .
