West Yorkshire 5 piece, The 309s, have spent the last ten years rocking and rolling their swing/rock’n’roll/jive repertoire at events all over the country.
Think Hank Williams, Bob Wills and early Johnny Cash joining forces to make a classic 20th century sound that is the roots of rock and roll.
Crowds have danced the days and nights away to the 309s’ beat at an extraordinary range of festivals and gigs.
Dance along to songs from the 1940s and 50s as well as original songs that have the swing and attitude that makes them sound like they could have been written in those golden decades.
Bringing together an intoxicating mix of guitar, fiddle, double bass and drums with occasional lap steel and trumpet, and fronted by two top singers, the band put a smile on everybody’s face with toe tapping rocking and rolling rhythms.
The event will also feature a jive dance workshop with local dance teachers Sue and Nigel.
