George McPhee has been organist of Paisley Abbey since 1963; this performance of his Prelude on Highland Cathedral will be its premiere outside Scotland. Max Reger wrote much of his finest music for organ, and his Opus 59 works are great pieces for those new to organ music. The programme ends with Franz Liszt's great tribute to J.S. Bach.
