Northallerton’s High St will echo to the sound of sleighbells as Santa arrives on his sleigh to see all the children of Northallerton this special Santa Sunday.
The day commences at 10am with the street market and food stalls open and then at midday we cheer on those little Elves in the ever popular Elf Run where kids compete in a charity fun run to raise money for Diabetes UK. At 1.30pm visitors can listen to the dulcet tones of the Northallerton Silver Band in the Town Hall playing a selection of festive favourites and spectators are invited to join in a traditional Christmas Carol Concert at 2.30pm in the Town Hall.
At 3.15pm Santa will arrive on his sleigh pulled by reindeer to the delight of onlookers and afterwards will be presiding over a special Grotto in the Town Hall (Have you been good?) for those on the naughty list, why not take the opportunity to take a selfie with his reindeer and sleigh which he will have ‘parked’ outside Barkers Department Store (don’t forget your carrots!)
Then at 4pm Panto Stars from Jack in the Beanstalk will turn on our Christmas lights to mark the start of the most wonderful time of the year. Join us for Christmas in Northallerton, in the heart of North Yorkshire. Find out more here: https://www.facebook.com/events/361415597614391/
