Internationally recognised for his stunning paintings and a relaxed easy way of teaching others, Tony's own art work is hung in locations around the world. He trained at Bradford College of Art in the sixties he has been a successful professional artist in the commercial world and then from his own studio ever since.
For several decades he has organised and run art holiday breaks, working with participants of all abilities from complete beginners to working professionals. Having formally tutored fine arts degrees for the Open College of the Arts, he explains all media and techniques as desired by those joining the course. Tony is a regular contributor to the Leisure Painter and other art magazines, with features on media, techniques and styles alongside demonstrating at art fairs, art societies and appearing on T.V.
The course itself provides participants with the opportunity of capturing the stunning vistas of Scarborough, with opportunities for both En-Plain Air and studio working. Subject to weather, those so wishing can join Tony (transport provided) during trips out to sketch and paint, returning later that day to develop it in the large spacious studio. Bringing along your own painting supplies, you will also get to watch Tony's demonstrations in other media and techniques, perhaps learning and finding interest in a media you have not tried previously.
