Overview & description

The story is set in Northern Mexico in 1931. Two families, the Maneatas and the Sponzalezes, have had a feud lasting back over 30 years, but now are to be re-united once more when Diego Sponzalez will marry Senorita Juanita Maneata. But not everyone in the village is happy about this prospect, and each family is blaming the other for their recent misfortunes. And all the time the villagers are living in fear of the one they call 'Pedro' - a bandit who has run havoc for over a decade.

The village is ready for the wedding. The families are keeping a stiff upper lip and trying not to kill each other. And then they hear news that a body has been found at the old mine...
