Calling all Peaky Blinder fans!
Join us as we celebrate 2020 like it’s 1920!
Come and learn about the hidden history of Sheffield’s gang wars in a building that was at the heart of it all, from costumed storytelling to a recreated pub, this event will be fun for all the family. Explore the original Police cells that housed infamous gang members like George Mooney and Sam Garvin, learn about the brutal war between one of the first specialised flying squads and the all-powerful gangs that ran the city of Sheffield and be taken back in time to the dark and dangerous world of bribery & brutality. This immersive event will include costumed characters, re-enactment displays, fire engine rides, 1920s music and entertainment and even a recreated gambling den!
For those looking to learn more about this grimy past, why not enjoy one of our immersive talks from a published author?
Visitors with children can enjoy ‘The Forge Shop’ and have a go at forging their own 1920s money, using typewriters and fingerprinting or why not stop off for some interactive 1920s storytelling in our original Police station?
If you’re looking to relax to the sounds and song of the ‘20s with a pint in hand, take a seat in our pub and gambling den! But watch out…the coppers are about and they’re doing regular raids!
