The Thirsk Motorhome & Caravan Show will be launched on 27-29 September 2019 at the 2019 UCI World Cycling Championships in Yorkshire. Harrogate has been chosen as the main host town for cycling's Road World Championships and Thirsk is ideally located to use as a base to see the various races starting from Beverley, Doncaster, Leeds, Northallerton, Ripon and York that will all finish in Harrogate.
The appetite for cycling spectators in Yorkshire is demonstrated by the 3.5 million watching the three English stages of the Tour de France and 1.2 million watching the inaugural 3-day Tour de Yorkshire. This three-day show will put motorhomes, caravans and camping products, systems and services in front of serious campers and the thousands descending on the cycling World Championships.
Dogs are allowed at the Show. And there is a regular train service between Thirsk and Harrogate.
Also nearby the skies of York will be transformed once again this year when the city welcomes its second hot air balloon festival following the success of last year’s flight.
