Wetherby Arts Festival

Please check websites of all organisations or businesses before you visit. With the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, many businesses are changing their opening hours.

This season sees some exciting artists new to Wetherby. We are pleased to welcome Charlotte Rowan as our Artist-in-Residence. A renowned violist, she performs on Saturday and Sunday,
Our music programme includes the much applauded 'The Chamber Orchestra of Leeds' and we continue our series of lunchtime concerts.

Lighter music will be provided by the Daytones, the Silver Band and the Light Music Singers. Then maybe dress up to hear and perhaps dance to 'Abba Revival'. It will be a festival for all musical tastes.

We welcome, too, the last Labour Government's Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, who began his career as a postman, rose to high office and is now is an acclaimed writer winning 3 major literary prizes and has now published his fourth book this year. Alan will be joined by Milly Johnson, the 'Queen of Feel-Good Fiction'.

We are introducing theatre and dance with Bad Apple's 'The Frozen Roman' and, for the younger ones, we have 'Moving Stories'.

Our audience asked for the return of comedian Tom Wrigglesworth, who was well received in 2016. Book early for our 2 comedy nights with some great names.

Check out our brochure and the website for all the exciting events. Don't miss the Scrabble Afternoon, the art and photo exhibitions and our Fringe programme. There are even walks around the town to introduce you to aspects of Wetherby you never knew.
