Wetherby Arts Festival

We regret that this year's event will be cancelled due to the Covid-19 threat. We will remain active and we will work to produce another great festival in 2021.

We are busy working to produce the next festival in October 2020. We have listened to our members and to our audiences and hope to provide another great season.

2019 was an exciting season. We began with 2 Johnson's - Alan, the politician and Milly the Barnsley best seller. The Chamber Orchestra of Leeds astounded our audience with a solo violin performance from Charlotte Rowan. A first for us was the opera with chips performed at the popular Wetherby Whaler. Should we repeat this see out event?
Comedy nights attracted big audiences. Our comedians included local Maisie Adam from Harrogate. The Town Hall proved an excellent venue for Tom Wrigglesworth and Neil Delamere all the way from Ireland had us rolling in the aisles at the High School.
Another novelty was Kate Hewison's dance with children from a local school. This was well received and is a welcome route to entertaining a younger audience.
Don't forget Bad Apple Theatre's production of The Frozen Roman. Time we had more drama in the Festival.

Come and see or listen to what we bring to Wetherby in 2020.
