Dating back to the 15th century, The Pipe & Glass stands on the site of the original gatehouse to Dalton Park, in the pretty village of South Dalton.
Holding East Yorkshire’s first and only Michelin star, the Pipe and Glass is one of six Michelin-starred eateries in Yorkshire – more than anywhere else outside London.
This year, James and Kate Mackenzie celebrate their 10th anniversary at the Pipe and Glass, during which time they have been named Dining Pub of the Year by the Michelin guide and recently took the number two spot in the Morning Advertiser Top 50 Gastropub Awards.
Chef and proprietor James is committed to sourcing as much local and seasonal produce as possible; and this is reflected in the menu, with dishes featuring the highest quality ingredients from across the Yorkshire region.
For those who wish to book an exclusive experience, the private first floor dining suite- which comprises the The Hotham Room and Chefs’ Library- can accommodate between six and ten people, with bespoke tasting menus created by James.
For larger parties the airy conservatory offers Pipe and Glass hospitality with views across the gardens to the stunning Dalton Park. It features large reclaimed wooden tables, and for parties of 20 or more, exclusive use with James' seasonal menus individually tailored to your requirements.
The Pipe and Glass also has five luxury boutique rooms, situated within their lovely gardens, and offering the ultimate in comfort and first class facilities.
