Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, Carr House Farm is the home of the Side Oven Bakery, where the Sellers family have lived and worked for 5 generations.
Provenance is our Passion
A wide range of cereals are grown on our Organic farm, which following harvest are taken to the mill house where they are milled using a traditional stone ground mill.
We use a traditional wood burning oven in the bakery fuelled with timber from the farm. We find the gentle heat from the ebbing fire gives a wonderful depth of flavour to all our products.
All of our products are carefully prepared by hand on the farm.
We produce award winning Organic breakfast cereals including honey toasted granola and muesli, apple juice and cordials including elderflower, lemon and blackcurrant.
We supply farm shops and deli’s across the UK and also we have an online shop on our website.
We are not open to the general public except on our open days. To book a place on one of our breadmaking courses please contact us.
We run specialist breadmaking courses at the bakery – all our courses cater for complete beginners through to those with abit more experience. You will learn how to bake in our bakery using our woodburning oven and our stone ground milled flour.
All our courses are informal friendly days, with lots of baking and lots of laughter and a good farmhouse lunch! Don’t forget to bring a big basket with you as you will be taking all of your baked goods home with you.
We also run occasional open days for the farm and bakery - these include wildlife walks, talks and demonstrations for the bakery, mill and farm. A great day out for all the family & entrance is free.
Details for all our courses & event are on our website.
