The Royal Oak Inn



Nestled in the peaceful village of Gillamoor, amongst the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, The Royal Oak Inn has been part of the village community since the mid-seventeenth century.

This traditional Grade II listed building is the ideal place to relax after a long walk through the countryside, with open log fires and oak beamed ceilings, you can enjoy the comfortable and friendly atmosphere; along with the best cask ales and excellent cuisine, which is all cooked fresh to order.

At The Royal Oak Inn we offer an exquisite, home-cooked, a la carte menu, with options for vegetarians, as well as a children’s menu and daily specials. All our meals are prepared to order on the premises from fresh, local ingredients.

Meals are served at lunchtimes and evenings, 7 days a week, and on Sunday’s a traditional Sunday Lunch is served. During the summer season the restaurant is open all day on Saturday and Sunday.

The Royal Oak Inn is a traditional 17th century inn, complete with log fires, traditional ales and fine wines.

After a long day spent visiting the local attractions, you can enjoy our cosy bar, relax by the open log fires and escape the stresses of everyday life.

The bar is well-stocked with a selection of traditional real ales, including the locally brewed “Black Sheep” ales. We also offer an extensive wine list to suit all pockets and palates.
