Fodder is the only food shop and café in the UK where all profits go to a farming charity – Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
Supporting over 350 Yorkshire farmers, growers and producers, Fodder sells the very best food and drink from the county with a full butchery counter, a deli counter laden with fresh pies, pasties and a huge variety of amazing cheese. 67 different types in fact as well as one of the best cheese experts in the country Nick Chandler who came second in the “National Young Cheesemonger of the Year” competition.
Fruit and veg comes straight from farms to the shop shelves and there’s a whole host of jams and chutneys on sale alongside freshly baked local bread and mouth-watering cakes.
Food is also made onsite in the Fodder kitchens – from fruit and cheese scones, flapjack, millionaire shortbread, sausage rolls and not forgetting our famous giant Yorkshire puddings.
There’s also the adjoining Fodder café serving full Yorkshire breakfasts, slap up lunches and delicious afternoon teas. Outside there’s Fodder on the Hoof serving the same fabulous food from an airstream style caravan for those in need of food and a cuppa, on-the-go.
Not only does 100% of profit from Fodder go to charity, all produce good enough to eat but not good enough to sell is donated to the Harrogate Homeless Project.
Fodder is open seven days a week, with free wi fi, free parking, a beautiful view and a warm Yorkshire welcome. We look forward to seeing you soon!
