The Old Dairy Farm is situated 3.5 miles south-west of Hawes, our nearest market town, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, on the B6255 Hawes to Ingleton road. Formerly housing one of the original dairy herds involved in the industrialisation of the manufacture of the famous Wensleydale cheese, The Old Dairy Farm now provides guest accommodation to discerning couples.
Having been awarded Trip Adviser’s Certificate of Excellence for the past number of years, we are pleased to have graduated into their Hall of Fame for both 2018 and 2019. Many thanks to our guests for enabling this by showing their appreciation of The Old Dairy Farm in this, totally unsolicited, manner.
We offer 3 double rooms together with an attached one-bedroomed cottage, which is offered on a bed and breakfast basis. Room 3, our most requested room, has a king-sized bed, double spa bath and balcony. Our small restaurant is also open to the public for dinner reservations and for private functions. A copy of our current dinner menu is available on our website, olddairyfarm.co.uk.
This area of the Yorkshire Dales incorporates many picturesque villages, waterfalls, areas of outstanding natural beauty, arts and crafts displays and opportunities to shop! Coffee shops and pubs abound, providing many and varied refreshments throughout the day and evening.
Tuesday is market day in Hawes, with a small street market and an opportunity to watch a traditional livestock auction at the local Auction Mart.
Walkers and cyclists are amply provided for locally with various challenges, according to skill, experience and energy levels! (Here at The Old Dairy Farm we can give safe storage to visitors’ cycles).
Our relaxed atmosphere, comfortable and tasteful decor and furnishings, complement our simple food and friendly, but professional, service.
