The Fox and Goose is an award-winning traditional real ale pub owned and run by the community, set on the hillside of Heptonstall Road, Hebden Bridge, with local links to the Pennine way and local transport. The pub is steeped in local history and has been extremely popular among the local community and visitors for many years.
The Fox sells quality cask ales from independent micro breweries, real ciders and bottled beers, craft cider and lagers, quality wines and spirits as well as a huge selection of craft gins.
We offer a large variety of snacks including pickled eggs, crisps, nuts and delicious locally sourced cakes to go with our speciality tea and coffees.
We sell fresh and local pork pies and delicious vegan pasties.
We host regular events and music sessions, plus community focused events such as our hugely popular Harvest Festival celebrating everything local. We offer a free community art space and meeting room and host a monthly guided walk. Many other groups also regularly meet at the Fox.
We are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and have been highly commended by Halifax and Calderdale CAMRA. We won the Pub of the Year award in 2019, whilst finishing runner-up in 2017 and 2018. We were also awarded their Cider Pub of the Year 2019.
We welcome walking groups, dogs and children.
Sit next to our traditional open fire on a cold winter’s day or enjoy a nice cold drink in our picturesque hillside beer garden in summer.
Everyone is welcome!
