‘The Mucky Duck’ is located within the hotel’s charming and award-winning tearooms, an informal dining alternative at The Black Swan Hotel, allowing both guests and non-residential diners the chance to dine in a casual and relaxed environment, whilst still enjoying freshly prepared high quality foods.

The décor has warm colours such as terracotta and stone, with contemporary printed linens complementing the warm oak panelling and with original art work by contemporary rural artist, James Bartholomew.

The menu draws heavily from local suppliers, with starters such as seafood, soups, tarts and pastas followed by wholesome mains such as braised feather of beef, wild mushroom risotto, oven-roasted whole sea bass and duck breasts, all served with delicious, freshly prepared accompaniments. Desserts are a classic selection of English ‘favourites’, including Lemon meringue and Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Come to close of the day, the lights go down and the candles are lit, and the tearooms transform into ‘The Mucky Duck’ Brasserie. The Mucky Duck is open Wednesday-Saturday evenings (6.30 - 9.30pm, last food orders)
