Serving a mouth-watering selection of classic and contemporary dishes, all freshly prepared using the finest local produce, it's easy to see how our restaurant has earned a reputation as one of Huddersfield's most exciting eateries.
Homegrown produce has been at the very heart of the Hinchliffe’s Farm philosophy since Allen Hinchliffe set up the UK’s first farm shop in 1929.
Since then, four generations of the same family have been committed to locally reared, grown and homemade food.
High demand for its beautiful British beef has led Hinchliffe’s to offer its scrumptious steakhouse menu day and night at the restaurant.
Open all week from 9am-5.30pm and Sundays from 10am-4pm, ravenous ramblers and weary walkers find Hinchliffe’s Restaurant – which sits at the heart of prime Pennine and Peak District walking country, in between The Holme Valley and The Colne Valley – the perfect pit stop before and after a hard day’s trekking, with some indulging in the farm’s delicious Champagne breakfast!
And the restaurant is also now open on Friday and Saturday evenings, 6pm till late, when diners can enjoy delicious rib eye, rump, fillet and sirloin steaks, produced from the grass-fed, 30-day matured beef, cooked on Hinchliffe’s fantastic chrome griddle and finished with garlic and herb butter and bundles of fresh farm veg.
The new evening a la carte menu also includes starters such as home-smoked BBQ ribs and beef Carpaccio and specials such as grilled spring lamb, Scotch salmon and surf & turf – complemented by a new wine and cocktail list.
Why not also stock up on great produce for your own larder, at Hinchliffe's Nothing makes us prouder than supplying our customers with delicious food and ingredients we’ve produced on our own farms or sourced from other producers we know and trust.
Whether it’s our irresistible own-brand jams and succulent home-reared beef or delicious ice cream from Huddersfield-based Dixon’s and organic goods from Elland’s Suma, as a family business committed to sustainability, healthy eating and animal welfare, we make it our business to hand-pick every product we sell.
