The Tack Room Restaurant is located within The Wensleydale Hotel ideally situated in the centre of Middleham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
It offers pan European cuisine drawing on Chef Patron Charles’ experience from all over the world. House specialties include cured salmon, charcuterie, sour dough, and homebred free range rare breed pork. Sample menus are available on the website, and there is something for everyone from British Classics like Pork Wellington, to Classic French like Tarte Tatin & Italian dishes such Tuscan Bean Soup. If you have a particular dietary requirement we will happily make a special menu for you. The emphasis is on quality, and where possible local produce is used including Swinton Estate Grouse, Wensleydale Cheese, & Rhubarb from Middleham!
Light lunches are served everyday, with Traditional Roast Lunches on Sundays. Dinner is served every evening except Mondays. There is a private dining room available for parties up to 16.
The bar welcomes with a roaring open fire in the winter, and in the warmer months you can sit on the south facing terrace overlooking the market square and watch the world (& racehorses) go by! Cask Ales and a wide selection of wines by the glass are available with a large choice of gins and spirits.
The Wensleydale Hotel is a charming family run hotel, the former White Swan Hotel was taken over by Charles & Fiona Merchie in Spring 2019 when they embarked upon their ambitious renovation project. Please check the website for uptodate opening times and we look forward to welcoming you very soon.
