Awarded a Michelin Star in the 2021 Michelin Guide, Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall is set in one of the stunning original drawing rooms at Grantley Hall and features original ornate cornicework, and ceiling decorations representing the Palladian architecture of the time.
With views over the formal Rill Gardens and fountain, Shaun Rankin offers the perfect location to enjoy fine dining at its best. Original artwork by artist Simon Casson adorns the walls to add a touch of modernity in an otherwise classical setting.
Originally from Richmond in Yorkshire, Shaun Rankin has travelled the world and is delighted to return to his Yorkshire roots with his latest restaurant. He, and his hand selected team, have worked tirelessly to create inspirational menus showcasing the very best seasonal Yorkshire produce. The restaurant offers two seasonal tasting menus which can be accompanied by carefully selected wine flights to enhance the customer experience.
Shaun has also overseen the creation and planting of his own kitchen garden at Grantley Hall which will supply many of the vegetables, herbs and edible flowers his dishes require.
There is a Chef’s Table available for up to 6 guests located within the heart of Shaun Rankin’s kitchen. The Chef’s Table was created to allow guests an insight to the behind the scenes skill and artistry required in a fine dining kitchen and will ensure a memorable dining experience like no other. With a dedicated front of house team and head sommelier, guests will be served an exclusive tasting menu by the chefs who prepare them as well as a selection of wines to accompany the exquisite food to complete the gastronomical journey.
Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall has a stunning private dining room, The Dales Suite, which is inspired by 19th century luxury décor and is available for up to 20 people. Diners can choose from a tasting menu experience by Shaun Rankin or you can work with our team to create a bespoke menu for your special occasion. Whichever is decided, the expert team will be at your disposal to ensure your dining experience is nothing but exceptional.
The team have ambitious aspirations to source from within a 40 mile radius to minimise the carbon footprint of the restaurant and this fit with the overall Grantley Hall philosophy of sourcing locally and supporting the Yorkshire economy.
