The Old Deanery restaurant sits at the heart of The Old Deanery, which is found in the shadow of the magnificent Ripon Cathedral. The historic Grade II red star listed building was the home of the Dean of Ripon until the end of WWII and for over 30 years has been open to the public as a proudly British restaurant.
Serving Yorkshire’s finest produce, prepared by a passionate team of chefs, our menus cater to all tastes and all dietary requirements. Whether it be a quick bite to eat at lunch or something more special in the evening, there is something for everyone at The Old Deanery.
We also serve truly exquisite traditional afternoon teas, just the way you’d expect – the best china, plenty of tea & coffee and all homemade.
Planning a celebration or a wedding? With 4 private dining rooms or the option for the whole building and its gardens to be exclusively yours, The Old Deanery can cater for everything from an intimate family meal to a big celebratory bash! All our dining rooms and bar/lounge are licensed for civil ceremonies so you can have everything under one roof, making for a much more relaxed and intimate day – fall in love with each other, then fall in love with your wedding venue.
