At Wentworth Woodhouse you can enjoy the best quality food and drink, prepared from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. There is an indoor, ground-level tearoom serving both hot and cold food, as well as outdoor food kiosks.
The tearoom at Wentworth Woodhouse, located in the former Butler’s Pantry, has grown significantly over the past years and is now open five days a week. We have a range of locally-sourced and homemade treats, including house specialties such as Homity Pie, a selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade soup and a selection of delicious cakes and pastries.
We welcome well-behaved dogs inside.
For a more unique experience, you can book an afternoon tea, served in the Long Gallery and in our garden, day cabins, Meadow Pipit and Wood Lark.
Our afternoon tea features finger sandwiches made with fresh locally-baked breads, home-made cakes and loose-leaf teas (prosecco and sparkling wine options are also available).
We have a strong focus on locally-sourced ingredients – our milk is from Oxspring, our herbs and lettuce are from Lincolnshire, our brie is from Yorkshire and our loose-leaf tea is blended in Dinnington.
As well as homemade cakes and scones, we also produce our own delicious sugar and mustard ham. And for a unique taste, our signature Wentworth Woodhouse biscuit is flavoured with honey and rosemary from the gardens.
The tea is served on Wedgwood’s Old Country Roses Royal Albert fine china. Inspired by an English country garden in full bloom, it is the perfect pairing for enjoying the view of the gardens from the Long Gallery.
